Moisturizing your hair is really important as it is what makes your hair soft and manageable, all hair needs moisture but african type hair needs it even more due to its curly nature and the fact that it takes longer for hair to travel down the shaft.
First things first, the products in ECO Styler gel are; water, carbomer, hydrolized wheat protein, PVP, glycerine triethanolamine, sodium hydroxymethylglycinate, polysorbate 20, yellow 5, tetrasodium EDTA, fragrance. Long informative post.
So I've been experimenting with several hair rinses lately; I've done the ACV rinse and now a black tea rinse and soon enough I'll be doing a rice water rinse. So a black tea rinse as the name implies its rinsing your hair with black tea completely saturating it and, leaving it in for a bit then rinsing it off.
First things first, there is a lot of controversy on whether to wash with shampoo or co-wash because shampoo strips the hair (Dedicated post on sulphate or no sulphate coming soon).
The theory behind ACV rinses is that it helps to alleviate an itchy scalp, exfoliates the scalp and gives the hair shine.
Now moisture is basically water but in this post moisture will be centred on conditioning and deep conditioning.
