4 awesome moisturizing sprays for natural hair

When it comes to hair moisture, it sometimes feels like you can’t do enough. Your hair seems to dry out every second and it’s like a vicious cycle that can’t be broken. The cycle can be broken however and moisturizing sprays are the ones to help with this.

Of course, there is more to natural hair moisture than just sprays. If you want to know all about natural hair moisture and saying goodbye to dry hair in just 5 days, then get my free email course here. You can also read a blog post I wrote on how to combat dry hair. This blog post, however, is dedicated to moisturizing hair sprays and some great ones you can get online or in a beauty store nearby.

How to moisturize natural hair

What are moisturizing sprays?

Moisturizing sprays are water based leave-in conditioning sprays or mists that majorly act to prevent dryness of the hair. They act like an extra layer of protection for your hair against dryness because they prevent moisture from leaving the strands. Some also act by drawing moisture from the atmosphere into the strands keeping your hair soft, shiny, moisturized and overall healthy.

You can learn more about moisturizing sprays in my book; Hair moisture 101. Check that out here.

4 moisturizing sprays to try out

Some awesome moisturizing sprays based on personal use and product reviews include;

TGIN rose water curl refresher

I currently use this product and it is the BOMB! Now your hair may not react to it as mine does but it makes my hair feel softer and moisturized in minutes.

I also don’t need to drench my hair in the product to get the desired result so it is cost-effective.

KUI tea-tree and cinnamon leave-in conditioning mist

This is another product that I have used. I think my favorite thing about it is the soft cinnamon smell. It’s good if you’re sensitive to scents and a great moisturizer.

You can’t get it on amazon but the brand has an Instagram account @KUIcare and a website you can visit here.

Shea Moisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Leave-in Treatment

I haven’t used this product personally but I’ve gotten a lot of good reviews about it. It softens the hair with its coconut oil goodness, also functions as a detangler and gives the hair shine.

It also reduces frizz which is important because natural hair is so prone to frizz.

Oyin Handmade Juices &Berries Herbal Leave-In Hair Tonic

I also haven’t used this product but it has gotten a name for doing great with type 4 hair and I knew I just add to add it to the list.

It contains humectants which draw moisture from the atmosphere keeping your hair softer and more moisturized for longer periods of time.
