It’s August! August is an awesome month for A drop of black because it’s the month this blog was launched.

Our fro friend from this month is the beautiful Todimu, she is really friendly and you guys should reach out to get on Instagram.

1. What is your name and give us an insight into what you do?
Hi. I’m oduniyi oluwatodimu Joyce.

2. How long have you been natural?

Can remeber how long exactly that I’ve been natural for but my last relaxer was August 2016.

3. What is your hair type?

Team 4c all the way. I’m not sure if I have other textures though.

4. What is your hair porosity?

Low porosity.

5. Why did you turn natural?

My relaxed hair was not so ‘wow’ and I overheard people talking about how fast locs and natural hair grows.

6. What is your favourite thing about hair?

I like the versatility of natural hair.

7. What is your least favourite thing about hair?

Maybe shrinkage but at the same time I’m into just loving my hair for now .

8. What is your hair goal? Moisture, Length or Volume?

Length and volume ( I want to hit shoulder length before the end of the year.)

9. What three hair products or tools can’t you do without in a week?

Spray bottle, scalp massager and oils ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜

10. What is your go-to hair style?

Puff.

11. What part of your hair regimen can’t you do without?

Spraying, (most times just water ) I loc with water castor oil and shea butter but it isn’t leaving my hair moisturized, if i loc at 7 in d morning my hair will be dry by 12 and just oily so im trying to see what works.

12. Would you say you’re obsessed with your hair?

Kinda ๐Ÿ™ˆ.

13. How do you deal with the urge to compare your hair with others?

I don’t know, I think its part of human nature but I’m really care free so I might have forgotten about the comparison in 5 to 10 minutes.

14. Have you ever been segregated or treated negatively because of your hair?

I used to have really bad hand in hair syndrome I’d cut my hair with MY hand and it cut so bad that it looked like a tapered cut people we’re always telling me to cut it but I paid them no mind and instead of doing a big chop im trying to grow it all out.
