Mastering my wash and go

  1. You’re hair is great! I celebrate my hair, too. When I was younger, my hair was just wavy, but a little straighter on top. After I turned 40 it got very curly. I stopped getting hair cuts that required it be straightened, and went for ones that let the curl show it’s full glory. I like my hair now better than ever, and like you, I get compliments when it is really showing that glory.

I have no advice about flaking. Maybe TEMITOPE is on to something, or maybe when it gets a bit more humid the issue will resolve itself?

      1. You should use a light gel and use your hands to separate the hair then shake your head so the curls clump to become defined. That aunt jackies was really nice and gave me a more defined look because of how light weight it was

      2. Isn’t that the shingling method? 😩 I’ve tried out and it didn’t come out like I thought it would. I just mostly go with braid outs and buns now. Thanks so much for the tips though, I might try again soon.

  3. I love eco styler gel for my edges. I haven’t tried it all over.
Another product that works well for me is Cantu twist and lock gel. It does not flake at all. It does have dull finish, so I apply a small amount of coconut oil to boost shine.
